The Data Goyá Institute is proud to expand its cultural and literary commitments through the Society of Writers project. This initiative marks our deepened dedication to nurturing literary creativity, amplifying marginalized voices, and enriching our shared cultural landscape.

Data Goyá is a multidisciplinary institute based in Brazil, working at the crossroads of digital technologies, legal advocacy, education, and knowledge. We promote socio‑environmental justice, culture, and inclusion, and also put emphasis on literature as a tool for empowerment and social transformation.

What it is: A new initiative under the Institute that supports a community of writers, educators, and literary enthusiasts.

Objectives: foster literary creativity and production; empower historically underrepresented groups: youth, women, rural and traditional communities, and others; offer mentorship, writing workshops, and opportunities for publication.

The project highlights alignment with Institute’s broader goals: builds on commitment to cultural inclusion and empowering marginalized voices Data Goyá Institute; expands the Institute’s mission in arts and literature beyond digital governance into a richer cultural domain; supports community storytelling and collective knowledge production. In this line, our activities are:

  • Writing circles and mentorship programs
  • Creative writing workshops (virtual or in-person)
  • Public readings, exhibitions, and literary events
  • Publication opportunities (e.g., anthologies or digital collections hosted by the Institute)
