We have been involved with different projects. Our institute collaborates with Indigenous peoples, traditional communities, civil society, researchers, and institutions to promote:

  • Indigenous Data Sovereignty
  • Free, Prior and Informed Consent in data governance
  • Ethical and inclusive digital infrastructure

We co-create projects that advance fair and accessible digital era across Latin America. Our work is grounded in collaboration, trust, and long-term impact.


Current Projects

1- Digital Security for Traditional People and Communities in Latin America

We are working on a research, and alongside grassroots organizations to understand (and later on, improve) the legal context of digital protection for traditional people and communities people in Latin America. Click here to see more.

2- Academic Researching

2.1 Genetic Data Repositories and Indigenous Territories

This research analyzed how Digital Sequence Information (DSI) linked to Brazilian biodiversity overlaps with Indigenous lands. At the time of writing, the researcher assessed risks, legal gaps, and proposed data governance models aligned with Free, Prior and Informed Consent.

3- International Advocacy at Multilateral Forums

We have contributed to sessions at the Internet Governance Forum (IGF), Science Summit UNGA79, UN Data Forum and others, bringing different perspectives to global discussions on data, environment, and digital rights.

4- Training & Materials

We produce accessible guides, infographics, and webinars to build legal and technological capacity globally.
