A Project to Strengthen Cybersecurity Capacities for Organizations, Indigenous Peoples, and Afro-descendant Communities in Colombia
We invite you to take part in this free training program specifically designed for:
- Social and community-based organizations
- Indigenous peoples
- Afro-descendant communities
Our goal is to strengthen digital security capacities and better understand the specific needs and challenges these communities face in digital environments. The registration deadline is August 18.
Through this form, we are also conducting a self-assessment to help identify technical, physical, legal, and sociocultural risks related to the use of technology and the protection of cultural or traditional information.
Our training will last for two weeks (the last week of August and the first week of September). The sessions will be online and recorded, with videos you can watch at any time during that two-week period. For this course, you will need to dedicate approximately 4 hours total (around 2 hours per week) to watch videos and read materials.
We will also hold a few live sessions for questions and sharing, and on September 12, we will host an in-person event in Bogotá. Importantly, we have a small stipend available to support travel for some participants.
Why is this training important?
- It promotes culturally relevant and effective digital protection strategies
- It contributes to the defense of collective digital rights
- It helps strengthen the technological sovereignty of communities
Your participation is key!
